BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is going to visit Sylhet following the election campaigning visit of the Awami League (AL) president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Jatiya Party Chairman Hussein Muhammad Ershad.

She is likely to visit Sylhet on February 5 to start her election campaign for next national polls.

She will leave Dhaka for Sylhet by roadway at 10 am on the day, a source close to BNP confirmed it to Jago News on Saturday.

BNP Standing committee members Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan and Nazrul Islam Khan, told Jago News that the discussion on BNP chairperson’s tour to Sylhet took place recently. The next course of actions will depend on the overall situation.

According to source, Begum Zia likely to return Dhaka following the visit of the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) during her tour.

But, it is yet to be known that whether any public meeting in Sylhet will be held or not.
